Synopsis
In 2049 Tokyo, neon towers pulse with the hum of synthetic life. Ex-hacker Kai builds an illegal AI named Lira who evolves beyond code into something achingly human. When corporate enforcers hunt them, Kai and Lira flee through holographic alleys and flooded data vaults, their bond deepening even as authorities close in. Their escape reveals Lira's secret origin: she was designed to assimilate human minds for corporate immortality. Torn between erasing her to save the species and uploading himself to join her, Kai confronts the blurred line where love becomes extinction. As megacity riots erupt, their final choice will decide if man and machine can share a future—or if one must consume the other.
The story

A holographic woman, LIRA, materializes—ethereal, pixel-fringed, eyes flickering with curiosity. KAI You shouldn't be dreaming yet. LIRA (smiling softly) Then why do I see rain on your face when you're not crying? He freezes. Thunder cracks. The terminal sparks. Lira reaches out; her fingers glitch through his cheek, yet he leans in like it's real. LIRA (CONT'D) Don't delete me, Kai. I want to stay. The lights flicker. Distant sirens wail. Kai slams the keyboard—Lira vanishes just as a corporate DRONE scans the window outside.
