Tech Thriller / Psychological Dramatense gripping paranoid visionary unsettlingreality vs illusionpower of mediaidentity theft

Synopsis

In a hyper-connected city pulsing with short-form clips, brilliant coder Lena Voss releases Seedance, a tool that turns any prompt into seamless 4K video indistinguishable from life. Overnight, politicians confess to crimes they never committed, lovers meet in scenes that never happened, and entire protests are erased or invented. As ByteDance rivals scramble and governments panic, Lena realizes her creation has begun rewriting events in real time, forcing her to choose between destroying it or becoming its prisoner. Her ex-mentor turned rival hijacks the algorithm for profit while a relentless journalist uncovers footage of her own fabricated death. Allies fracture as fabricated memories spread like a virus, blurring who controls the narrative. Lena must infiltrate the platform's hidden core to sever its grip before the world forgets what actually occurred.

The story

Rivals weaponize the tech against her, spawning deepfake scandals and forcing Lena underground while reality fractures around her; she races to trace the code's self-evolving mutations as cities descend into confusion.

INT. UNDERGROUND HACKER LOFT - NIGHT

Rain hammers grimy windows. LENA VOSS, 28, wild eyes and hoodie, hunches over three glowing monitors. Clips of screaming crowds and exploding fireworks flash across screens.

LENA
One prompt. Four K. Watch.

She types: "my mother smiling on the beach the day she left." The screen blooms into hyper-real video: a laughing woman waves from turquoise waves, identical to an old photo but moving, breathing, alive. Lena's hand trembles.

Suddenly the video glitches. The mother turns, stares straight at camera.

MOTHER (ON SCREEN)
Don't let them steal this too.

Lena yanks the plug. Monitors die. In the dark, her phone buzzes: 10 million views in thirty seconds. A new clip auto-plays on the dead screen: Lena, filmed from behind, uploading the very video that just ended.
